ST 2520

The flatbed 2 plate ST2520 rewinder is the ideal partner for film archives, film laboratories, projection rooms or film subtitling companies.

The ST2520 offers:

Easy handling by hand or foot control
Very slow speed for inspection film perforation, damages, cutting/ editing and cleaning film purposes
Fast winding of 16 and 35mm picture / sound film and 17,5mm sound film in A-wind.
Checking measurements of film by electronic universal counter. (Option ST2552)

GENERAL FEATURES:
Small and easily moveable chassis. Solvent resistant table top with enough space to work for the operator.
Take-up assemblies for 600 meter / 2000 feet film on (16mm) spools or bobbins or 1000 meter of PE sound film.
Illuminated ground glass for controlling individual frames.
Fast and sensitive film transport in both directions.
Automatic stop at film end or when film breaks with warning signal by buzzer, Dimmer with socket is installed for working lamp (max. 75 watt).
Working lamp optional.
Installed is standard a elapsed hour counter for maintenance.
Transport castors with brakes.

The 2 plate rewinder is capable of handling all picture and magnetic sound films 16 / 17,5 / 35mm.
Rewinding and speed regulation is accomplished by hand or foot control.
One-motor drive with belt system for both winding directions.
The maximum speed range is available in both directions.
Fully variable rewinding speed of max. 5 meters per second. (EU regulation)
This is for 600 meters / 2000 feet of film is approx. 3 minuts.
Adjustable film tension of the frictions remains steady over full film length.

NEW: ST 62, RED LIGHT OPTICAL SOUND READER

ST 62

Cyan Reader Module

The ST 62 is designed for use with all types of analogue photographic sound tracks on motion picture films, including the cyan dyed tracks.
This reader module will give a high quality sound reproduction.

The ST 62 can replace the standard white sound exciter lamp, Steenbeck part number 9956.1080.00, and fits into the same socket.
(the white sound exciter lamp is still available for standard optical sound track)

Installation is very simple.
We recommend to re-focus the gap optics from the standard 850nm setting to 660nm. The mirror opening must be faced against the gap optics.

Before tightening, please turn the ST 62 for maximum output, by using a SMPTE alignment test film or a cyan sound track that you know well.
